How Will Your Wall Arrive

Things to consider and prepare for with the arrival of your wall
If one is available you will have been sent a transport docket or consignment note when your order is dispatched. Please read this transport note as it will contain all your delivery information for you to check and any special instructions that have been requested for your delivery. If some information is not correct please contact MWS.
If your delivery is to your home:
- If your wall is to be delivered to a residential address or you don’t have forklift facilities you will need to hand unload your materials. You will require 2 capable people to assist in a hand unload. The truck driver is not expected to assist with this.
- Before the wall arrives identify a clear area that the wall components can be put that is also close to where the delivery truck can park.
- The exterior shrink-wrap will require cutting off with a Stanley knife to gain access to the individual components. Take care when unloading the steel components as some components are packed inside others.
- You will normally have both steel components and fibre cement panels. Do not place the fibre cement panels directly on an uneven surface as this may cause the panels to deform over time if left. Place something down first such some of the polystyrene packaging that you may have cut off to gain access to the panels.
- Take the care and the time when unloading the panels as the edges are easily
- damaged if care isn’t taken. Stack the panels neatly and squarely as corners that are left sticking out may also be vulnerable to damage. Never be rushed by the truck driver.
- Any damage that is evident to any components due to transport must be marked on the transport docket that the driver will give you and signed by the driver. If you have a digital camera please take a picture and send or email to info@modularwalls.com.au
If your delivery is to a local Depot:
- Upon request MWS can provide the dimensions of the pack containing your wall components to ensure your vehicle or trailer is suitable to transport the pack from the depot to the location where the wall will be constructed.
- You will receive a phone call from the transport company when your goods are ready for pick up. Please check the times the depot operate as these vary depending on the company and location.
